Emma was born in Australia and began dancing at the age of five.
She has travelled extensively, receiving training in Dubai, Australia and the UK. She trained in a variety of dance forms including ballet, jazz, tap, contemporary and folk dance. Emma won numerous awards and scholarships in competitions throughout Australia. She was awarded the Associate in ballet of the Royal Academy of Dance with Distinction, and was accepted straight into the final year of the English National Ballet School, Royal Winnipeg Ballet School in Canada, and the Hong Kong Academy of Performing Arts.
Emma has danced professionally with the English National Ballet and the Hong Kong Ballet. She began teaching ballet in Hong Kong at Jean M. Wong School of Ballet, one of the finest and most prestigious schools in the Asia-Pacific region. She also coached students of the Hong Kong Academy of Performing Arts.
Emma has extensive experience with choreography, having choreographed for the Cathay Pacific International Night Parade held in Hong Kong for five consecutive years, the Hong Kong Star Awards Ballet Competition and other gala events and performances.
Upon returning to Australia, Emma has taught at a number of ballet workshops around Australia.
She enjoys teaching all levels of ballet, specialising in the vocational grades, open classes, pointe and variations/repertoire.
