A Passionate Performer

Georgia Hampson originally studied gymnastics from the age of 2 but always wanted to venture out into the wonderful world of Ballet. In her first year of ballet training, she was accepted and studied with the Queensland Ballet Academy. In 2019-2020 she trained in Queensland Dance Centre’s Elite Ballet Program.

Miss Georgia has been teaching at QDC since 2021 and found a love and passion for inspiring her students through both classwork and performances. She encourages students to hold themselves to a high standard of discipline and pride in themselves, so that their positive attitude and hard work can be reflected in their dancing.

She started teaching and choreographing for QDC Ballet Competition teams in 2022 and in 2023 is introducing contemporary to our students.

Georgia has taken part in numerous performances and dance competitions, as well as training in Melbourne and Korea with well-known K-Pop choreographers. She has performed with Queensland Ballet Academy and Queensland Dance Centre’s Four Seasons performing Paquita variation and “Winter Fairy”. She has also performed at Bris-Asia Summer Party Event since 2019.

Georgia was awarded Top Trainee in The Academy Au’s 2018 Bootcamp in Melbourne, which provided her an all-expenses paid position in The Academy Au’s 2019 Bootcamp in Korea where she was placed in a leadership position.

Georgia has previously coached Gymnastics since the age of 14 and is currently in the process of acquiring a Certificate IV in Dance Teaching and Management through ATOD.

While Ballet has been her focus, she has been trained in various styles of dance including, Contemporary, Hip-Hop, Commercial and Musical theatre. With this training she wishes to improve in all styles and be flexible when it comes to teaching in a large range of dance styles.
