Meng Ningning was a former principal dancer of The National Ballet of China and Queensland Ballet in Australia. She is a National First Class Performer in China, She has received Special allowance expert of the State Council in China as well. Ms. Meng graduated Master Fine Arts with honor from Beijing Dance Academy, joined National Ballet of China. She is a registered teacher with Royal Academy of Dance. She was invited to be an guest examiner in Solo Seal of RAD in Adelaide in 2017.
She has danced many major and leading roles in story ballet such as "Le Corsaire","Sleeping Beauty", "Cinderella", "Giselle", "Raymonda", "Don Quixote", "Swan Lake", "Coppelia", "Romeo and Juliet", "King Arthur" etc. Other leading roles in her repertoires include "Carmen" "Pink Floyd","Who Cares", "The Four Temperaments", "Serenade", "In the Middle, Somewhat Elevated", and Rudi van Dantzig's "Four Last Songs", "Kazimir's Colors". She has performed many leading roles in Chinese ballet as "The Red Detachment of Women", "Raise the Red Lantern", "Yellow River", "Peony Pavilion" etc.
In 1998, she worked with a Dutch choreographer in a contemporary Pas de deux, which was very well received by the performance for the Queen of the Netherlands. In 2002, she won the Gold Medal at the 4th Nagoya International Ballet&Modern Dance Competition in Japan. She was named one of the National First Class Performer in China in 2004. In August 2006, she was invited to the 4th Art Festival in Turkey. She worked with British choreographer Akram Khan in a new work "Bahok" which was very successfully presented in many countries in the world in 2008. As a guest Artist, she performed lead role of Swan Lake with Richmond Ballet in America in 2013. She has lead many performances in many world-standard theatres such as The Royal Opera House,Opéra Garnier,The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Hamburg State Operaand the Arts Centre Melbourne.
