Dance and Drama, Fitness and Artistry

Sarah graduated from Griffith University with a Bachelor of Education (Secondary) focusing on the Performing Arts disciplines of Dance and Drama. Sarah is a member of the Commonwealth Society of Teachers of Dance. She has completed examinations for R.A.D. and C.S.T.D. syllabi and specialises in Tap.

Sarah is one of the founding staff members at QDC and plays a vital role as QDC's Comdance Syllabus Co-ordinator. She was instrumental in developing the initial Tap and Jazz syllabi for the studio.

Sarah has taught Latin and Ballroom dance and is a licensed Zumba Fitness Instructor with additional specialty training to teach Zumba Kids and Zumba Kids Junior classes.

From a young age Sarah has been a part of the performance scene, appearing in shows for World Expo88, the Lyric Theatre's "South Pacific" and "The King and I." Sarah was part of the Queensland Music Festival's "Under the Stars" community initiative and in 2016, she performed a showcase Argentine Tango in collaboration with the Griffith Conservatorium.

Sarah has a passion for dance and believes highly in the physical, emotional and cognitive benefits of this art form. Sarah has taught students ranging from 4 years to 84 years and is honoured to be part of their dance journey, watching as participants grow in both confidence and skills.
